About Verde Valley Flyers

Verde Valley Flyers are folks young and old who love aviation. Some are veterans of World War II and the Korean conflict; some are local aircraft owners and pilots; others build and fly experimental planes; still others enjoy retirement from airline or aviation industry jobs.

Arizona's Verde Valley is located approximately mid-state in Yavapai County, stretching for twenty-six miles astride the Verde River, just east of the Mingus Mountain chain.

Climbing out from Cottonwood airport (P52) provides amazing views of the Mogollon Rim and the San Francisco Peaks. Three other airports in the Valley area are Sedona (KSEZ public) and Rimrock and Montezuma Heights, both private.
